Jeanne C. Wintz, PhD
Executive Vice President, Custom Division Research Manager
Dr. Wintz manages the custom research division at Gilmore, developing new approaches and innovative statistical techniques to better serve the needs of clients. With more than 30 years as a research consultant and analyst, she has worked with a variety of approaches to quantitative measurement, including multivariate procedures such as multiple regression, cluster analysis and factor analysis. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington with a specialization in research methodology and statistics. In addition, she has taught graduate level courses in Research Methods and Computer Utilization in Research at the University of Washington.

Reflecting the strength of the right side of her brain as well, Jeanne is a passionate devotee of the theatrical arts and an active board member of the Seattle Shakespeare Company. Combining an appreciation for both the art and science of living, Jeanne is also a member of the Advisory Council for Sustainable Seattle.

Cathy Peda
Executive Vice President
Cathy has more than 20 years of experience at Gilmore Research with a variety of responsibilities: operations management, data collection, questionnaire development, segmentation analysis, personnel management and project direction. Over the years, Cathy has developed an expertise in overseeing large research projects with a high level of quality control and client service. Taking over the management of the senior sales team in 2006 and a seat on the executive committee, Cathy has put the depth of experience to good use in developing long term goals and strategies for the company.

With two typical teenagers at home, Cathy and her husband have a busy schedule. Regardless of the lack of spare time in her life, Cathy has made it a priority to teach her daughters the importance of an active role in the community. Depending on the day, Cathy and her family can be found feeding the homeless, trapping feral cats or selling cookie dough to raise money for their school.

Sue Black
Senior Vice President, Research and Design
With more than 30 years of experience in a wide variety of marketing research disciplines, Sue has been an important member of the Gilmore team for more than half of those years. In her present position, she acts as both an internal and external consultant helping design the optimal approach for clients needing research in a wide variety of industries and businesses. Sue is a platinum level member and has served on the board of Marketing and Communications Executives International (MCEI). She has a BA in Sociology and completed graduate course work in Advertising from Michigan State University.

Anyone who knows Sue is aware of her passion and interest in all aspects of a gracious but sustainable lifestyle. As a long time poet and more recently an enthusiastic blogger, Sue is more than happy to share the wisdom she has gained as she has traveled her road. An example: “Two wrongs don’t make a right but three lefts do.” (Think about it!)

John Cell
Vice President, Senior Research Consultant

John is responsible for client development, research design and project management for many of the company's clients focusing specifically in the healthcare, government and technology sectors. With more than 16 years of experience, he is well versed in both quantitative and qualitative methods and is a seasoned focus group moderator. Formerly, John was Vice President for Sales with the Jackson Organization and in a similar position with Endresen Research, both organizations specializing in healthcare research.  John has played a strong role in client development at Gilmore since 2004.

Ask John what he would describe as his primary role in life and he has a quick and easy answer: "Will's dad."  He likes to help out with coaching his son's teams and tries to stay active athletically so he can keep up with this rambunctious six year old.  John reads, enjoys cooking on occasion and loves to travel as often and as much as time permits.

Jack Geiger
Vice President, Senior Research Consultant

With over 18 years of marketing and management experience, Jack has provided consulting services to some of the largest companies in the world, assisting with branding, new product testing, customer service monitoring and more. As a focus group moderator, he has explored topics ranging from video game opinions of nine year olds to the private banking needs of high net-worth individuals. Before joining Gilmore, Jack worked at both Informa Research Services and Market Trends. His educational background includes an MBA from the University of Washington and graduating Magna Cum Laude from Central Washington University with a degree in Business Administration.

When Jack isn't working, he can be found with his family or playing with cars. Married with 2 children, Jack is teaching his daughter to drive and helping his son earn his Cub Scout badge. For relaxation, Jack restores and races vintage American muscle cars.  He just completed a five-year restoration on his 70 'Cuda and recently competed in Nevada's Silver State Open Road Racing Challenge in a friend's 71 Dodge Charger.

Carol Ambruso
Vice President, Design and Analysis
With more than 20 years experience developing, conducting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative studies to guide corporate policy decisions, marketing and communications strategies, Carol is a highly skilled research analyst. Her background includes extensive work in the public sector with an emphasis on transit and transportation, marketing communications and strategic planning. She is particularly skilled at using secondary information from published and online sources as an adjunct to primary research findings. Carol has a BA in Communications from Pacific University and an MBA from Portland State University.

When Carol is not working for Gilmore Research, she and her husband spend their free time managing the family's Italian Ice business with able assistance from three active teens and a rambunctious dog. The whole family participates in a variety of community service activities organized by their local church as well as those sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America and the International School of Beaverton.

Patricia Glazer
Vice President, Senior Moderator
Patricia joined Gilmore Research in 1998 and has over 25 years experience in marketing research. Her career began in Chicago and has continued in the Pacific Northwest over the last 13 years. She has expertise in qualitative techniques as a focus group moderator and analyst but is also skilled in quantitative research methods as well. Patricia has enjoyed lasting client relationships in many industries including medical and healthcare research, business equipment and services, financial/insurance services, construction, utilities and many consumer categories. She received her BA from Case Western Reserve University and earned her MA at Middlebury Graduate School.

An important area in Patricia’s life is becoming acquainted with other cultures. Although she has been able to learn about cultures through travel and living abroad, she has gained an even deeper appreciation of the value of cultural diversity by hosting students from various countries in her home.

Rita Cohen
Vice President, Senior Research Consultant
Rita has nearly 10 years of experience in the marketing research industry managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects with special emphasis on multi-mode projects integrating both types of methodologies. Often her projects explore social, medical and behavioral issues for such public agencies as King County, Washington State Department of Health and Seattle Public Utilities. Rita is also an experienced cognitive interviewer, utilizing directive techniques and employing a combination of concurrent and retrospective cognitive interviewing techniques to refine questionnaire development.

If there is a day when Rita is not working on a client’s project or research proposal, it is easy to find her. Look for the closest golf course. We don’t mean to suggest that Rita’s interest in the game comes before most other spare time pursuits but, ask her what was the most important factor she considered when she bought a new car … trunk space for the clubs, of course!
